ShipEngineer Spotlight: Jayden Levine

What do you do at ShipEngine ?

I’m on the frontline of everyone who signs up for ShipEngine. My job is to ensure that all potential users have what they need to integrate with our product and help solve shipping, or other logistics-related pain points, for our users. I also focus on generating new business for our organization and ensure that the sales team is being constantly fed with potential users to grow the presence of our shipping API.

What does your typical day look like?

When I’m not reaching out to new users and trialists who sign up for a Free API key, I spend my time researching and qualifying companies so that I can invite them to join the dozens of brands already using ShipEngine.

What tech do you get to work with?

My headphones are my main weapon of choice! But, in regards to the applications I use, I work with Kibana, Looker, Salesforce, Hubspot, MixMax, Google Suite, and ZoomInfo on a daily basis.

How long have you been working on ShipEngine?

I joined the ShipEngine sales team at the beginning of February.

How did you get into this type of work?

Prior to ShipEngine, I was working in sales development for an outsourced sales and marketing firm.

What is one of your proudest achievements?

In my previous position, I wrote a proposal for internal changes and had some of my suggestions adopted into the company’s overall operations.

How do you spend your free time?

I enjoy praying, fishing, drawing, painting, photography, videography, going for walks, and hanging out with friends and family.

What’s one FAQ you receive often?

“Is tracking charged per package or per request?”

With ShipEngine, we only charge you once to track a package — whether your customers check your branded tracking page once or ten times between placing their order and delivery.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

I’d probably choose to read people’s minds. It would make it a million times easier to anticipate the needs of our users, and allow me to better communicate with others.

What do you wish more people knew about ShipEngine?

How much effort that went into building the workplace we call home and the heart that goes into every interaction we have our users, whether they’re a small ecommerce merchant shipping product from multiple marketplaces, or a platform looking to white label a shipping solution to their customers.

What did you want to be when you “grow-up”?

I wanted to be a public speaker and travel the world giving motivational speeches.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you?

I will always return a wave or a smile!
