Return Services
BRT IT from ShipStation supports return labels. If a parcel is returned to the sender, the corresponding charges will be managed via the adjustment process.
Adding Shipment Insurance
Adding shipment insurance is not supported for this carrier, however BRT IT BRT IT from ShipStation includes compensation coverage for shipments: 1€ per KG plus shipping cost for domestic shipments, and 10€ per KG plus shipping cost for international road shipments. However, certain items listed in the prohibited/restricted list are excluded from compensation, and BRT does not refund perishable food. All services are eligible for loss and claims.

Label Reference Fields
BRT IT from ShipStation does support adding custom label messages, specifically using shipment.packages.label_messages.reference1 for an alphanumeric sender reference and shipment.shipment_number for a numeric sender reference. The integration automatically generates a unique reference number (max 15 characters, unique for at least two months) for the BRT wallet integration, overwriting any client-provided values in the reference field to ensure uniqueness and carrier API validation compliance.
Multi-Package Labels
BRT IT from ShipStation supports multi-package shipments.
Voiding Labels
BRT IT from ShipStation supports voiding labels with ShipStation API. The service must be invoked at least 5 minutes after the successful creation of the label. Merchants have 15 calendar days from the confirmation date of the order to void a label. If a voided label is reused, an adjustment charge will be issued as a 'label-voided-used' charge.
Advanced Options
BRT IT from ShipStation does not support advanced options.
Manifests
BRT IT from ShipStation shipments do not require manifesting.
Scheduling Pickups
BRT IT from ShipStation supports schedule carrier pickups for Door2Door service types. The pickup charge is already included in the rate returned for both services. Pickup voiding is also supported.
Service Points (PUDO)
BRT IT from ShipStation offers service points as Shop2Door service type, which implies Pick Up Drop Off (PUDO) functionality. Customers can receive a confirmation via email once a PUDO scans a package.
